Preethi Sundar, B.Tech

Ms Preethi Sundar is an aspiring researcher, passionate about Clinical Genetics. This passion made her take interest in Genetic Counselling. The learning experience as a genetic engineer has helped her gain a broad knowledge in Human and Medical Genetics, laboratory and clinical procedures and proficiency in research skills. She has contributed to research through her UG project that studied the association of gene variants to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and has acquired hands-on experience in various molecular techniques. She is also part of an organisation that helps women with PCOS by providing support and guidance, through which she has gained experience in professional communication and handling sensitive situations. She is a team player and an active listener with strong observational and interpersonal skills. As a skilled presenter and educator, she can help people understand the process of genetic counselling better. She is a dedicated and competent professional who is compassionate and empathetic. She is fully capable of counselling people in an unbiased, non-judgemental way and helping them understand everything to make an informed decision concerned with a genetic diagnosis. Her objective is to work with an organisation that challenges her efficiency in the area of research and to contribute to the field of Clinical Genetics. She is determined to give her fullest efforts and dedication to uplifting the quality of her work. She is thrilled to be a part of Geneaura and is looking forward to new experiences.
